The Vietnam Pharmaceutical and Medical Association (VPMA) in Russia held its second congress in Moscow on May 1.
Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia , the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, the Russian Traditional Medical Centre and several Vietnamese students studying in the country attended the event.
Doctor Lo Van Xanh, President of the VPMA, delivered a report on the association’s operation since 1997 and plan to improve healthcare for Vietnamese community in Russia and local residents, as well as promote Vietnamese traditional medicine there.
Vietnamese Minister counsellor Pham Thi Ngoc Bich praised VPMA’s operations over the past time and expressed her hope that the association continue operate effectively in the coming time.
Doctor Lo Van Xanh was re-elected as President of the association for the new term.
VPMA is a social professional organisation gathering Vietnamese people, who are working and studying in Russia , to join hands in caring people’s health. It is also a member of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associtions in Russia./.
