VNA builds info centre in central region

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) held a ceremony on August 5 to break ground its information centre in the central and Central Highlands regions.

VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi joined ViceChairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh andother municipal leaders at the event.

The 14-storey centresits on a site of 2,348 sq.m at 28 Le Thanh Tong and 81 Quang Trungstreets in the central city of Da Nang’s Hai Chau district.

It will cost over 194 billion VND sourced from the State budget with theVNA representative office in Da Nang as investor.

The centreis to be furnished with state-of-the-art equipment to assist theagency’s service in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City when the two offices facenetwork security-related problems.

Scheduled to open in2016, the centre is expected to make it easier for VNA staff in thecentral and Central Highlands regions to perform their tasks, andimprove the management of the agency’s offices in the two regions.-VNA
