The Foreign Ministry’s National Border Committee has launched theEnglish-language version of its website on Vietnam ’s sovereignboundaries.
The website at www.biengioilanhtho.gov.vn beganoperation on December 3, 2009 in the Vietnamese language, providinginformation and reflecting the Party and State’s official viewpoints onsovereign boundaries.
The website covers news, events, activitiesof Party and State leaders and localities relating to borderlinemanagement and defence on both land and sea.
It provides updateson protocols and agreements on border demarcation, marker planting andborder gate management, and agreements on demarcation on sea, economicexclusive zones and continental shelf signed between Vietnam andother countries.
Documents on international law and historical,legal documents asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa(Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spartly) archipelagos along with photos, maps,documentary films, songs on border, sea, islands are also available onthe website, which has so far lured more than 57 visits./.
