Win for Lac Hong University at Shell Eco-marathon Asia

Team LH-EST of the Lac Hong University, based in southern Dong Nai province, has won the UrbanConcept – Battery Electric sub-category of the Shell Eco-marathon Asia in Singapore.

Dong Nai (VNA) – Team LH-EST of the Lac HongUniversity, based in southern Dong Nai province, has won the UrbanConcept –Battery Electric sub-category of the Shell Eco-marathon Asia in Singapore.

Vice Rector of the Lac Hong University Lam ThanhHien said on March 10 that the car of LH-EST covered a 129.3km distance on only1kWh of electricity.

Indonesian teams gained the second, third andfourth places in this sub-category.

He said this is the fourth consecutive time ateam from his university has come first at the UrbanConcept category of theShell Eco-marathon Asia, which is also a record.

LH-Gold Energy, another team from the school,also competed in the event. Its vehicle consumed only 1 litre of biofuel to run200km, ranking fifth in the internal combustion sub-category.

Shell Eco-marathon Asia took place in Singaporefrom March 8 to 11, attracting more than 100 teams from universities of manyAsian countries. 

Seven teams from five universities of Vietnamparticipated in the competition. The two teams of the Lac Hong Universityattended in the sub-categories of internal combustion, battery-electric power,and hydrogen fuel cell.-VNA
