Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – The “Tam Tra Dieu Bao”collection has set a world record with the criterion of “the largest collection ofYixing teapot sets in many ages”.

The Vietnam Records Organisation (Vietkings),authorised by the World Records Union (WorldKings) and the World RecordsAssociation (WRA), announced the recognition in a ceremony held in Ho Chi MinhCity on May 28.

Owned by tea master Ngo Thi Thanh Tam who has spentnearly 30 years searching for and collecting more than 1,000 Yixing teapots andcups, the collection features exceptionally beautiful andrich designs, unique colors and patterns, and is made from several clay typesof the Yixing region.

The teapots were crafted by famous artisans from Yixing craft village of Jiangsuprovince, China, stretching from the Qing Dynasty to the current day.

Tam started researching and collecting teapots in 1993 while she wasliving and working in China’s Taiwan.

Earlier, last October, the Asia Book of Records (ABR)recognised the collection ‘Tam Tra Dieu Bao’ as “the largest collection ofYixing teapot sets in many ages" in Asia./.

Attracting high-quality talent to strategic science, technology fields

Quang Ngai currently has 127 martyrs' cemeteries containing 37,689 graves, including 26 collective ones. Of these, 16,758 have complete information, 5,134 contain partial information, while 15,771 remain unidentified. Around 6,000 martyrs from the province have yet to have their remains located.
