Youth exchange between Vietnamese, Cambodian localities

A friendship exchange activity between youths of Vietnam’s Vinh Long province and Cambodia’s Kampong Speu province was held in Vinh Long on March 22 with the theme of “Ever Singing the Friendship”.

Vinh Long (VNA) – A friendship exchange activitybetween youths of Vietnam’s Vinh Long province and Cambodia’s Kampong Speuprovince was held in Vinh Long on March 22 with the theme of “Ever Singing theFriendship”.

The event, which drew the participation of nearly 300 VinhLong youngsters and over 50 of their Kampong Speu peers, came within theframework of a larger activity which created a chance for the two sides tostrengthen their bonds and popularise the image of Vinh Long land and people.

At the event, the Vinh Long Students’ Association passed adecision to establish a club of Cambodian and Lao students who are studying inthe province and to present them with 22 scholarships.

Kampong Speu Deputy Governor Sor Soputra described the eventas a chance for youngsters of the two provinces to continue the long-lastingfriendship between the two provinces and to exchange their experiences invarious fields, especially in youth-related work.

For his part, Vice Chairman of the Vinh Long People’sCommittee Lu Quang Ngoi said that in the time to come, attention should becontinued for the work, with a focus in the field of education so that theyouth can get a better understanding on the importance of the friendship andsolidarity between the two countries in general and the two provinces inparticular.-VNA

Resettlement, site clearance for Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear plant gets underway

According to the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, the resettlement and site clearance project carries a total investment of about 6.7 trillion VND (about 255 million USD). Of the total, approximately 5.28 trillion VND is earmarked for compensation and site clearance, around 1.15 trillion VND for construction and equipment, and nearly 287 billion VND for project management, consultancy, other expenses and contingencies.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways to launch first international direct flight on March 29
