The late Deputy PM and Senior Minister in charge the Council of Ministers Sok An
Phnom Penh(VNA) – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on March 16 appointed one of his deputies, Ben Chhin, as the acting senior minister in charge of the Council of Ministers, after the previous incumbent Sok An passed away.

Previously, the Cambodian government announced that Deputy PM and Senior Minister in charge the Council of Ministers Sok An passed away due to illness on March 15 in Beijing, China.

The late Deputy PM was a standing committee member of the ruling Cambodian People's Party. He had served as the minister in charge of the Council of Ministers since 1998; and he was promoted to the rank of a deputy prime minister in 2004.-VNA
