The two sides agreed on orientations and specific measures to intensify bilateral ties and deal with existing difficulties, reflected through the signing of 13 agreements ranging from transport, trade, education, energy, agriculture to cooperation between their localities.

The Deputy Minister mentioned two outstanding successes of the Government leader’s visits, including achievements in discussions about the legal status of the Vietnamese expatriates in Cambodia and an agreement allowing Laos to manage and use several port wharfs in Ha Tinh province’s Vung Ang economic zone.

Specifically, within the framework of the visits, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2017 and the Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2017 were launched, he added.
