Vietnam takes part in charity fair in Russia

Vietnam joined 12 other members of the Asia-Pacific Women Group (APWG) in raising donations for handicapped and orphan children in Russia and the world, at the APWG’s charity fair in Moscow , Russia on May 28.

The Vietnamese delegation included wives of officials at the Vietnamese embassy and Vietnamese agencies in Russia, who introduced traditional dishes and bamboo and rattan products, as well as arts and handicrafts, to international friends.

At the last year’s event, Vietnam raised over 50,000 RUB, the second highest of all 18 attending delegations, said the wife of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, Nguyen Thi Quoc Khanh, adding that the annual event is an unique cultural activity, aiming to bolster solidarity among diplomatic agencies and foreign people’s communities in Russia./.
