Hanoi (VNA) – Export value of aquatic productsis estimated at 728 million USD in November, bringing the 11-month value to7.57 billion USD, up 18.3 percent annually, according to the Ministry ofAgriculture and Rural Development.
The US, Japan, China and Republic of Korea (RoK) are thefour leading importers, accounting for 58.2 percent of the country’s totalshipment value. Markets seeing strong growth include China (67.9 percent), theNetherlands (47.5 percent), the UK (35 percent) and the RoK (29.5 percent).
Also in November, aquatic products import hit 150 millionUSD, raising the 11-month import value to 1.3 billion USD, or a 32.5 percentincrease year-on-year.
In the Mekong Delta, tra fish used as material forprocessing plants is priced at 26,000 – 28,500 VND (1.15 – 1.26 USD) per kg, oreven 29,000 – 30,000 VND in the provinces of Dong Thap and Vinh Long due tolimited supply.
Prices of tiger prawn fell to 140,000 – 200,000 VNDper kg wholesale.-VNA
Agro-forestry-fishery exports to hit nearly 30 bln USD in 10 months
Export turnover of agro-forestry-aquatic products is expected to reach 2.74 billion USD in October, bringing the ten-month figure to nearly 29.76 billion USD, up 12.7 percent year-on-year.
