14 laws, resolutions set to be adopted on final working day of 15th NA's 9th session

The 15th National Assembly is set to adopt seven laws and seven resolutions through voting during the final working day of its 9th session on June 27. NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man is scheduled to deliver a closing speech after the legislature completed the agenda of its 9th session.

Hanoi (VNA) - The 15th National Assembly is set to adopt seven laws and seven resolutions through voting during the final working day of its 9th session on June 27.

The legal documents include the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation; the amended Law on Atomic Energy; the amended Law on Railways; the Law on amendments and supplements to certain articles of the Law on Credit Institutions; the Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Trade Union Law, the Youth Law, and the Law on the Implementation of Democracy at Grassroots Level; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on National Defence, the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army, the Law on Professional Army Men and Defence Workers and Employees, the Law on Military Service, the Vietnam Border Guard Law, the Law on People's Air Defence, the Law on Military Reserve Forces, the Law on Civil Defence, the Law on Management and Protection of National Defence Works and Military Zones, the Law on the Militia and Self-Defence Forces, the Law on National Defence and Security Education; and the Law on amendments and supplements to certain articles to the Criminal Procedure Code.

Meanwhile, the resolutions include those covering investment plans for the Quy Nhon–Pleiku Expressway project and the Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No.4 project; and adjustment to the investment plan for the first phase of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway project.

There are also resolutions on the establishment of an international financial centre in Vietnam and the pilot implementation of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city.

A resolution approving the 2023 state budget settlement and another on the implementation of the laws on amendments and supplements to certain articles of the Law on Organisation of People’s Courts, and the Law on the Organisation of People’s Procuracies, procedural laws and other relevant laws, are also expected to be adopted at the meeting.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man is scheduled to deliver a closing speech after the legislature completed the agenda of its 9th session.
