On the afternoon of March 31st, the Friendship Exchange program commemorating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Australia diplomatic relations was held at the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace.
The event was organized by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, and the Vietnam Australia Friendship Association.
The commemorative event was attended by over 150 delegates, including representatives from the leadership of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam Australia Friendship Association, Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and various departments and agencies of Hanoi, as well as the Ambassador of the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and his wife.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Andrew Goledzinowski, emphasized the future of the strong and longstanding relationship between Vietnam and Australia, is built on the foundation of trust and friendship between the people of both countries.
Today is not only an occasion to look back at the achievements we have made with pride but also to look forward to the future with the expectation that cooperation between the two countries will be renewed and deepened in the fields of science and technology.
Concurring with the Ambassador, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, further shared that Hanoi always values cooperation with Australian localities. The city's leaders regularly hold meetings and seek opportunities for collaboration with representatives from various states of this nation.
A highlight of this commemorative program was the artistic performances by artists from Hanoi College of Art and students from the capital city. These splendid performances, meticulously invested in sound, light, and costumes, showcased songs that praise the beauty of the country, the capital city Hanoi, and the traditional culture of Vietnam - Australia./.
