Hanoi (VNA) - Para-athlete Dinh Thao Duyen of Vietnam won a gold medal in the Women’s Long Jump T12 with a leap of 4.53 metres at the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand on January 22 evening, setting a new Games record.
Moreover, in the Women’s 100m T12, Duyen delivered an impressive performance, finishing in 15.10 seconds to claim a bronze medal, rounding off a successful day with two podium finishes.
Duyen is a T12-class visually impaired track and field athlete. She is highly regarded for her persistent spirit, consistent technique, and explosive ability in speed- and power-demanding events.
Dinh Thao Duyen’s gold-medal, Games-record long jump and the bronze in the 100m has contributed to boosting Vietnam’s medal tally and inspiring her fellow athletes at the 13th ASEAN Para Games./.
