In an article entitled “Hello Vietnam”, Atilio Boron of the leadingArgentine daily Pagina 12 provided a review of Vietnam’soutstanding achievements during the struggle for independence in thepast as well as the current national development.

Boron, a prestigious journalist in Argentina , stressed that besidesits economic successes, Vietnam is also a model in povertyreduction, health and education.

He said PM Dung’s visit will open up opportunities for the twocountries to strengthen cooperation.

Telam, the national news agency of Argentina , highlighted theimportance of the first visit by a Vietnamese PM to Argentina andquoted Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana as saying that PM Dung’s visit aimsto tighten the two countries’ developing ties and open up new areas ofcooperation.

The news agency of the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR) said thevisit has a great significance to the rapidly-increasing two-way tradebetween Vietnam and Argentina while the Eleve e-newspaper noted thatthe visit takes place on the occasion of the 200 th anniversary ofArgentina’s Independence Day and the 1,000 th founding anniversary ofThang Long-Hanoi.

Many local dailies in Argentina and news agencies in Latin Americareviewed the milestones in the relationship between the two countries aswell as Vietnam’s outstanding economic achievements over the pastyears on the occasion of the Vietnamese PM’s visit./.
