The fourth ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum took place in Hanoi onOct. 14, providing an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to exchangeinformation and seek partners.
The annual forum focused ondiscussing the action programme of the ASEAN-China Young Entrepreneurs’Association (ACYEA) in 2012, which aims to boost cooperative activitiesamong young entrepreneurs and enhance economic ties between ASEAN andChina.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Industry andTrade Tran Quoc Khanh said that China is one of Vietnam’s most importanttrade partners, with two-way trade exceeding 27 billion USD in 2010,while ASEAN nations have close relations with Vietnam.
Therefore,the hosting of the event in Vietnam was a positive move for Vietnamesebusinesses in international economic integration, he said.
ACYEAVice President Chen Yong Dong affirmed that the forum helped strengthenfriendship and boost economic development in regional countries.
Two-way trade between ASEAN and China reached 190 billion USD in 2010, up 35 percent over the previous year./.
