Seoul (VNA) – An exhibition, themed “The Light of ASEAN, One Community” opened at the Asia Culture Center (ACC) in Gwangju, the Republic of Korea, on October 17.

It is a display of light from hundreds of big lanterns, which move following musical patterns. Visitors are allowed to interact with artworks at the show.

Korean artists said lanterns are considered a symbol of people’s dreams about prosperity, which is also their source of inspiration for the exhibition.

According to the organiser, the event aims to reflect a connection and bright future between ASEAN and the RoK via the use of traditional art featuring common cultural values of the bloc.

The show offers free entrance for visitors in a month.

The ACC is also selected to be the venue of the upcoming 2019 RoK-ASEAN Cultural Ministers’ Meeting later this month./.
