Officials were quoted as saying that a bus with 45 passengers fell down a ravine on the way from Isabela province to Ilocos Sur. The injured passengers have been rushed to hospitals.
Accidents are frequent in the Philippines due to unsafe vehicles, poor conditions of roads and lax traffic control.
In February this year, a bus carrying students on a camping trip crashed in Rizal province, causing the death of 15.-VNA
