Hanoi (VNA) – The first-ever Autumn Fair 2025, the largest trade event of its kind in Vietnam, officially opened on October 25 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Hanoi.

Covering more than 130,000 square metres, the fair gathers distinctive products from 34 provinces and cities nationwide, aiming to foster business links, supply chains, and domestic consumption.

The national-scale event, running from October 25 to November 4, is noted for its six bests including, the largest scale, the most modern space, the most diverse products, the highest quality, the most attractive activities, and the best offers.

Nguyen Anh Nguyet, owner of the Phuong Nguyet dried shrimp workshop in Ca Mau, introduced the region’s famous dried shrimp to northern consumers for the first time. She said while Ca Mau is known for its crab, its dried shrimp is still relatively unknown in the north, and such fairs provide a valuable opportunity for businesses to connect with potential customers.

In addition to Ca Mau, businesses from Hue City displayed local specialties, including traditional handicrafts depicting famous landmarks. Tran Van Ngo, a wood sculptor from Hue, called the fair the largest he had attended and a great chance to meet new clients and partners.

Pham Thi Lan, Director of Supply Chain at Canifa Fashion, emphasised that the fair is a key platform for promoting Vietnamese fashion. Canifa hopes to organise selective business matching programmes to connect with domestic distributors, international buyers, and sustainable material suppliers, advancing their goal of global fashion export.

Huynh Xuan Son from Da Nang City’s Department of Industry and Trade highlighted that the city showcased its top OCOP products, including Ngoc Linh ginseng and Hoa Tho apparel. He said he hopes that the fair will help Da Nang businesses expand their reach and forge new international partnerships.

According to Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Autumn Fair is designed to grow into a regional and international trade hub. This year’s edition expects 300 foreign delegations for import–export activities and 20 specialised conferences.

Phu said the event, which is expected to welcome around 500,000 visitors, not only promotes trade and production but also highlights Vietnam’s image to global partners./.
