Hanoi (VNA) - An Airbus A320 aircraft bearing registration ER-0005 touched down at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on December 13 after completing its first commercial flight, joining Bamboo Airways’ fleet just in time for the year-end holiday rush.

The timely addition boosts capacity for the carrier and advances its fleet rebuilding effort since returning to management under FLC Group.

Bamboo Airways CEO Truong Phuong Thanh said fleet expansion is central to widening the route map, raising flight frequencies and lifting operational efficiency.

A larger fleet will enable Bamboo Airways to roll out new destinations, reinstate suspended domestic and international routes, and better serve rising demand at home and abroad, he added.

Starting in 2025, the carrier plans steady aircraft inductions as part of a Government-approved roadmap to reach 30 jets, with medium-term targets of 8-10 additions annually to support aggressive network growth from 2026 to 2030.

To celebrate the milestone, Bamboo Airways launched a limited-time promotion on flights operated by the new A320, offering 18% off Economy Smart and Economy Saver Max fares and 8% off other classes.

The discount is bookable through all official channels from December 14-17 for travel between December 14-30, excluding peak dates./.
