Binh Duong, Italian localities boost cooperation

Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV)website said the commitment was made at the signing of a cooperativeagreement between Binh Duong province and the two Italian localities onMay 29.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, by Le ThanhCung, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said that BinhDuong welcomes Italian investors and creates the best possibleconditions for them to operate in the locality.

Albertto, President of the Emilia Romagna Chamber of Commerce, saidItaly currently has five projects in Binh Duong that are operatingefficiently.

He added that 90 Italian automobile,high-tech, and processing bu sinesses are keen to invest in Vietnamand consider Binh Duong a key destination for their projects.

A delegation from two Italian regions and representatives from theItalian Chamber of Commerce also visited the My Phuoc Industrial Zoneand Binh Duong industry-services and urban area complex.

Binh Duong is one of the leading Vietnamese localities in attractingforeign investment. It has so far licensed 2,160 investment projectscapitalised at more than 18 billion USD from 35 countries andterritories.-VNA
