Binh Phuoc (VNA) – Vice Chairman of the Binh Phuoc People’s Committee Tran Tuyet Minh on March 27 ordered completing the southern province’s temporary and dilapidated housing elimination programme by April 30, two months ahead of the original June 30 deadline.

To date, 448 out of 797 houses have been either newly built or renovated, including 342 out of 631 homes for poor and near-poor households and 106 out of 166 for families of revolutionary contributors.

Since the Prime Minister initiated a nationwide campaign to eradicate substandard houses, Binh Phuoc has been actively implementing the programme. It initiated a 200-day campaign to accelerate progress, originally targeting completion by June 30.

Given the province’s mountainous and border-region characteristics, where ethnic minority communities make up a significant portion of the population, the demand for housing support remains high./.
