Bodybuilders win world champs gold in Thailand

Nguyen Anh Thong and Vu Anh Nhat Thuy Khanh Khuong have won gold medals for Vietnam at the on-going 8th World Bodybuilding & Physique Federation Championship in Thailand.

Hanoi (VNA) – Nguyen Anh Thong and Vu Anh Nhat Thuy KhanhKhuong have won gold medals for Vietnam at the on-going 8th WorldBodybuilding & Physique Federation Championship in Thailand.

Thong triumphed in the men’s U60kg category while Khuong took gold inthe men’s U55kg class on December 2.

Two Vietnamese women won silver medals, with Ton Hoang Khanh Lan baggingone in the U55 kg pool and Nguyen Thi My Linh taking another in the over-55kgdiscipline.

On the second day of competition on December 3, Vietnamese athletes willperform in the men’s U70kg, U75kg and women’s fitness classes.

The three-day (December 2-4) tournament in Pattaya has attracted morethan 300 competitors. Vietnam has sent a team of 15 athletes to compete in themen’s and women’s bodybuilding, fitness and physique fitness categories./.
