Participantsdiscussed and signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperativeprogramme between the Solidarity Front for Development of the CambodianMotherland, the Lao Front for National Construction and the FatherlandFront of Vietnam.
The MoU stressed the three sides’ support forenhancement of information dissemination and the education people fromall walks of life in each country, promoting the tradition ofsolidarity, friendship and cooperation among the three countries.
Theyagreed to expand friendly exchanges between all peoples and coordinatein implementing cooperative programmes of the three governments,especially in trade, culture, science, education, health andenvironmental areas.
The MoU encouraged border localities to strengthen solidarity and cooperation and provide mutual assistance.
Atthe meeting, six senior leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and theLao Front for National Construction were conferred with Cambodia ’sFriendship Order.
Vietnamese recipients were Huynh Dam,President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, NguyenTrong Kim, Vice President and Secretary-General, and Nguyen Lam, VicePresident.
After the meeting, the delegations of the three frontswere scheduled to visit King Norodom Sihamoni and attend celebrationsfor the 33rd anniversary of the Solidarity Front for Development of theCambodian Motherland in Crocheck province, about 400 km northeast ofPhnom Penh./.
