Cambodia looks to enhance ties with HCM City: PM Hun Sen

Cambodia is willing to work with Ho Chi Minh City to speed up the implementation of cooperation programmes relating to socio-economic and cultural affairs to benefit their people and for peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world, said Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

While welcoming visiting Secretary ofthe municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Hai on April 10, the Cambodian PMsaid he is delighted at wide-ranging developments in relations betweenHo Chi Minh City and Cambodia ’s capital Phnom Penh , and betweenthe two countries.

For his part, Hai, who isalso a Politburo member, thanked the PM and Cambodian officials forcreating favourable conditions to help the city effectively carry outcooperation and development projects, especially the Cho Ray-Phnom Penhhospital.

He expressed his hope for continuous collaboration between his city and Cambodian localities for their mutual benefit.

On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City leader also met with ViceChairman of the Cambodian National Assembly Nguon Nhel, Deputy PrimeMinister and Minister of the National Assembly-Senate Relations andInspection Men Sam An who is also President of the Cambodia-VietnamFriendship Association.

Additionally, Hai paidtribute to fallen Vietnamese soldiers at their monument in Cambodiaand visited the Cho Ray-Phnom Penh hospital.-VNA

Vietnam, Senegal enhance cooperation across key sectors

In the first four months of 2025, Vietnam’s exports to Senegal stood at 43.43 million USD, nearly equalling the total for 2024 (43.91 million USD). Vietnam mainly exports rice, pepper, agricultural products, and components, while its imports from Senegal include raw cashew nuts, fishmeal, seafood, and cotton.

Potential to promote Vietnam – Nepal trade

Prime Minister hosts welcome ceremony for Thai counterpart

This is the first visit to Vietnam by PM Paetongtarn since she took office, and also the first by a Thai Government leader in 11 years. Additionally, it marks the first joint cabinet meeting between the two countries’ prime ministers in 10 years.
