Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Bac Lieu (VNA) – A delegation from the Military Zone 3 of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces led by Commander Yoeung Sokhon visited Bac Lieu province on February 1 ahead of the traditional Lunar New Year.
During the reception, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan Nhu Nguyen briefed guests about the local socio-economic development 2017, saying that the province fulfilled and surpassed all plans with relatively high economic growth, progressing trade, and improved local lives.
He thanked the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces for their warm sentiments to Bac Lieu, contributing to further deepening the friendly neighborliness between the two nations.
Sokhon expressed his profound thanks to Vietnam for assisting Cambodia in the most difficult period and updated Bac Lieu authorities on his country’s socio-economic situation.
He wished that Bac Lieu and the Cambodian province of Preah Sihanouk will further tighten their ties for mutual development.
Cambodia will create the most favourable conditions and give priority to developing Preah Sihanouk into a socio-economic-cultural hub of the country, he said.-VNA
