Cambodia ’s total trade with foreign countries is expected to increase to nearly 16 billion USD this year, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce Chhoun Dara has said.

The figure was amounted to nearly 13.9 billion USD last year, up from 11.9 billion USD in 2011, and 9.3 billion USD in 2010, Cambodian news agency AKP on December 18 quoted Chhoun Dara saying at a business and investment forum on Cambodia toward the ASEAN Economic Community.

The main foreign markets for Cambodian products including garment and textile and agricultural products are the US , the EU, Japan and ASEAN.

Cambodia ’s economic growth reached 7.3 percent in 2012. The figure is estimated at around 7 percent at the end of this year.-VNA
