A drawing contest has been held within the framework of the Ao Dai festival in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting many children. The event aims to honour the beauty of the Vietnamese traditional long dress and nurture children’s love for the national costume.

Themed “Ao dai with Ho Chi Minh City,” the contest offered a playground for children to develop their creativity.

After the first round, thirty out of 400 art works created by young contestants on paper ao dai were selected to enter the second round, during which contestants designed on real dresses.

After two days of competition, the jury presented two first prizes and four second prizes.

This is the sixth time the contest has been held. Its success has helped spread the love for Ao dai, Vietnamese traditional long dress, to the youngsters.
