 Hanoi (VNA) – China’s Yunnan province has a lot of potential to expand cooperationwith Hanoi in various spheres, said Permanent Vice Chairman of the HanoiPeople’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.

At a reception for Wang Shufen, deputy head of the Yunnan provincial People’sCongress Standing Committee in Hanoi on November 23, Tuan said Yunnan has alarge area and dense population, while Hanoi has recorded outstandingdevelopment recently.

Vietnam and China boast long-standing ties and close economic coordination, hesaid, adding that the two sides are major partners in many sectors.

Tuan said through Wang’s visit, Yunnan will have more opportunities to workwith Vietnamese cities and provinces in politics, economy, culture andtourism.-VNA
