Chinese ambassador receives VUFO insignia

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Association (VUFO) on April 3 presented the “For peace and friendship of nations” insignia to outgoing Chinese Ambassador Kong Xuanyou in recognition of his contributions to the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.

VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong praised the efforts of Ambassador Kong inactivities to boost people-to-people contacts between the two nations.

Kong has actively coordinated with Vietnameseauthorities and directly participated in the friendship activities heldby the VUFO and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, he said.

Ambassador Kong said it is his honour to receive the noblest award of the VUFO.

The diplomat pledged that in the future, in any position that heserves, he will continue working hard to make further contributions tothe development of bilateral ties between the two countries as well asthe traditional relations between the two Parties, States and peoples.-VNA
