Coffee export value expected to hit 6 bln USD in 2024

Vietnam’s coffee export revenue is estimated to reach a new record of 6 billion USD in 2024, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The ministry made this forecast based on the positive signs from coffee exports during the first half of the year, with 902,000 tons exported, generating 3.2 billion USD—a 34.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

The average export price of Vietnamese coffee was estimated at 3,482 USD per ton, marking a 49.9% year-on-year increase.

However, the Vietnam Coffee - Cocoa Association noted that coffee exports in July, August, and September are expected to gradually decline due to supply shortages.

Vietnam’s coffee supply is anticipated to increase in October with the start of the new harvest season./.
