COVID-19: New cases on October 26 top 3,595

Vietnam recorded 3,595 cases of COVID-19 on October 26, including 3 imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 3,595 cases ofCOVID-19 on October 26, including 3 imported cases, according to the Ministryof Health. 

HCM City still recorded the highest number ofinfections with 783, followed by neighbouring Binh Duong province with 528 andDong Nai province with 481.

The national tally now stands at 896,174.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 2,722 patientsnationwide are in serious conditions, with 329 requiring invasiveventilation and 17 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 64 deaths from thedisease. The death toll now hits 21,802.

A further 2,989 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number ofrecoveries to 810,290.

By October 25, the country had injected over 74.95million doses of vaccines to date, with more than 21.82 million peoplenow fully inoculated./.
