Criminal proceedings launched against school murderer in Thanh Hoa

The investigation agency under the police of the north central province of Thanh Hoa on May 4 issued a decision to begin criminal proceedings against and an arrest warrant for a four-month detention of Do Manh Chieu Minh on the charge of murder.

Thanh Hoa (VNA) - The investigation agency under the police of the northcentral province of Thanh Hoa on May 4 issued a decision to begin criminalproceedings against and an arrest warrant for a four-month detention of Do ManhChieu Minh on the charge of murder.

According toLieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Manh from the provincial police, the 25-year-oldman from Coc village, Dong Luong commune, Lang Chanh district, was arrestedafter committing a murder on May 3. 

Around 9:00 am on May 3, Minh jumped over the fence of a primary school in Dong Luong commune andbroke into the school, then stabbed pupils playing in the school yard with aknife. 

As a result, Le Huu Phuong, a fifth-grade pupilof the school was killed and four others injured. The man also stabbed ateacher when she rushed to stop him, and then fled the scene. Immediatelyafterwards, authorities mobilised all forces to hospitalise the injured andhunt the murderer.

Minh was determined to be negative for narcotics after being tested in ahospital.-VNA
