Vietnam Fatherland Front’s 10th National Congress to be held this month

The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2024 – 2029 term will be held in Hanoi from October 16-18, the VFF Central Committee’s standing board announced on October 4.

Hanoi (VNA) - The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2024 – 2029 term will be held in Hanoi from October 16-18, the VFF Central Committee’s standing board announced on October 4.

Specifically, a photo exhibition featuring the great national unity bloc and the front work in the 2019-2024 tenure will be opened on October 16.

The congress’s opening session will take place on October 17 with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, and VFF, while the closing ceremony is scheduled for October 18, during which the standing board and the 10th-tenure VFF Central Committee will make debut.

The congress is expected to draw the participation of nearly 1,400 delegates, including 1,052 official ones.

The number of members of the VFF Central Committee for the 10th term is set at 405, 20 higher than the previous tenure, of them 249 to be re-elected. Meanwhile, its Presidium will comprise 72 members, 10 higher than the ninth term, of whom 49 will be re-elected./.
