Cuban Party’s Ideological Department delegation on Vietnam visit

Politburo member, Secretary of the CPVCC and head of its Popularisation and Education Commission Dinh The Huynh made the remark while receiving head of the Cuban Ideological Department Rolando Alfonso in Hanoi on September 17.

Despite differences in each country’s situation and conditions, the two Parties and peoples still consistently follow the path to socialism, Huynh said.

He asked the two sides to exchange views on the outcomes and challenges during the implementation of educational and ideological tasks in their respective country so as to find out suitable and effective measures and to contribute to fostering the traditional friendship, solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and mutual trust between the two Parties and countries.

He also expressed the deep gratitude to the Cuban Party, State and people for their support and unity to Vietnam during the war against the US as well as the national construction and defence, saying he believed that under the leadership of President Raul Castro and leader Fidel Castro, the Cuban people will overcome difficulties in implementing the model on the upgrade of socio-economic development.

The Party official reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent support to and solidarity with the Communist Party of Cuba’s revolutionary cause, expressing the hope to strengthen the comprehensive friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples.

Rolando Alfonso Borges said Cuba wishes to continue to share Vietnam’s experience in Party building, socio-economic development and national renewal.

Earlier, the Cuban Party official held talks with Vu Ngoc Hoang, CPVCC member and standing deputy head of its Popularisation and Education Commission.

The Cuban delegation also had working sessions with the Central Theory Council, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Television and Vietnam News Agency./.
