Czech’s deputy foreign minister welcomed in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) - DeputyDefence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Be Xuan Truong hosted a reception in Hanoi onMarch 15 for Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Lukas Kaucky, who ison a working visit to Vietnam.

During the meeting, Kaucky expressed his impression of Vietnam’s land andpeople.

He highlighted the flourishing development of the relations between his countryand Vietnam in recent years, saying that this is a favourable condition for thetwo sides to further strengthen their traditional friendship and cooperation, includingdefence ties.

For his part, Truong said Vietnam and Czech boast fine bilateral relations inmany fields.

The defence bond has recordedpractical and strong developments since the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understandingon bilateral defence cooperation in 2012.  

Truong suggested Kaucky paymore attention to promoting the bilateral defence ties, especially exchange ofhigh-ranking delegations, personnel training, defence industry cooperation,overcoming consequences of war, and joining UN peacekeeping activities.-VNA
