Some 200 tourists arrived at Tien Sa port in central Da Nang city in themorning of February 19, the first day in the year of goat.
They were brought in by ship Star Pride run by Destination Asia Vietnam.
Later on the day, another 182 passengers travelling from Seoul, theRepublic of Korea, landed the city at its international airport.
According to Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Director of the local Department ofCulture, Sports and Tourism, Da Nang held a tradition of welcoming thelunar year’s first tourists with li xi (good luck money) and dragondance performances.
The city expected to host199,608 arrivals during the ongoing traditional New Year festival, anannual increase of 10.25 percent. They include 66,170 foreigners and133,438 domestic visitors, up 11.8 and 9.5 percent year on year,respectively.-VNA
