Defence Minister: Cambodia grateful to Vietnam

Speaking on Cambodia’s TV5 channel, Tea Banh reaffirmed that the effective cooperation and mutual support between the two armies in the past as well as at present are proof of the everlasting solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia .

Recalling the painful suffering of Cambodian people under the Khmer Rouge’s rule, the General expressed sincere thanks to Vietnamese volunteer soldiers for helping the Cambodian people overthrow the cruel Pol Pot regime and restore freedom, peace and democracy throughout the country.

Earlier on September 14 and 15, Commander of the Special Region High Command of the Cambodia Royal Army Prun Din and Deputy Commander of the High Command of the Cambodian Royal Army Guards Dieng Sarun also delivered speeches on TV5 highly valuing the cooperation and support that the Vietnamese army has given to the Cambodian Royal Army both in the past and at present, especially in personnel training.-VNA
