Seoul (VNA) - The Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with the Employment Permit System (EPS) Labour Management Office and the Management Office of Vietnamese Labourers in the RoK, on December 5 organised a meeting with Vietnamese consultants at support centres for foreign workers, as well as representatives of Vietnamese community groups in the East Asian country.
The event aimed to update policies and laws of both the Rok and Vietnam related to the EPS programme.
Vietnamese Ambassador Vu Ho emphasised the significance of labour export in creating jobs and contributing to the nation's economic development.
He stressed that the interests of workers must be prioritised to ensure that the efforts of the embassy, labour management agencies, consultants, and representatives of community groups are meaningful, effective, and successful.
Nguyen Dinh Dung, Counsellor in charge of community affairs at the embassy, provided essential guidance on collaboration between consultants, representatives of Vietnamese community groups, and the community affairs board of the embassy./.
Vietnamese workers in RoK appreciated by host employers
Vietnamese labourers who work in the Republic of Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS) have been appreciated by Korean employers, said Lim Seung-mook, Vice President of the Human Resources Development Services of the RoK (HRDK).
