European Vovinam Championship held in Italy

The 2 nd European Vovinam (Vietnamese martial arts) Championship of the European Viet Vo Dao Federation (EVVF) was held in Lignano Sabbiadoro city, Italy from Mar. 3-4.
The 2 nd European Vovinam Vietnamese martial arts Championship of theEuropean Viet Vo Dao Federation (EVVF) was held in Lignano Sabbiadorocity, Italy from Mar. 3-4.

As many as 258 martial artists from 11 European countries participated in the event.

TheItalian team ranked first with 8 gold medals, 4 silver and 5 bronze,followed by Romania , France , Russia , and Germany .

The 3 rd European Vovinam Championship will take place in Romania in 2014.

Accordingto World Viet Vo Dao Federation (WVVF) General Secretary Vo Danh Hai,Vietnamese martial arts have been developed strongly not only in Europebut also in many other countries in the world, particularly in Africa .In Algeria , about 10,000 people practice Vovinam regularly.

The 3rd World Vovinam Championship will be held in Paris from July 26-27.

The WVVF also plans to coordinate with the Foreign Ministry of Vietnam to hold a Vovinam Championship for Overseas Vietnamese./.
