A photo exhibition on the theme “ Japan : miraculous development after world war” opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 17.
Jointly organised by the Japan Consulate General in HCM City and the Japan Foundation’s Centre for Culture Exchange in Vietnam , the event aims to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam .
On display are more than 100 black and white photos by 11 Japanese famous artists, highlighting development milestones of Japan after the world war.
The photos reflect Japan ’s extraordinary internal strength, which helps the country rise difficulties and develop into a strong country.
This is the first time the exhibition has been introduced in Southeast and South Asian nations. It is another version of the exhibition “Japan: A Self-Portrait, Photographs 1945-1964”, which won public acclamation in Japan.-VNA
