An exhibition of famous battles and military campaigns in Vietnam ’s military history opened at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi on October 4.
Through over 500 photos, documents and exhibits, visitors have an opportunity to witness the mighty history of the Vietnamese army and people in fighting and defending the country in different periods from the 10 th to the 20 th centuries.
This is the first exhibition with contents reflecting the thousand-year history of the national construction and defence, said Colonel Nguyen Xuan Nang, Director of the museum.
The ten famous battles and military campaigns presented at the exhibition bear a deep social and human significance, Nang said.
The museum also introduces documents and original exhibits, including collections of weapons and ordinary utensils in different centuries./.
