Flood disrupts life of local residents in central Vietnam

The Vietnamese Government and ministries, sectors and agencies to support provincial authorities in responding to natural disasters. Vietnamese people from all over the world are joining hands to support flood-hit residents in the central region.

For more than two weeks the central region has suffered intensive damage from floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall.

More than a million people have been impacted by the flooding including at least 119 deaths and 21 people are still missing.

Government officials described the damage as the worst in five years. The Vietnamese Government has sent many missions to the central region to coordinate with regional localities to overcome consequences of floods, provide essential goods and medicines to residents.

Hanoi officially launches smart traffic control centre

Equipped with 1,837 AI-powered cameras installed at 195 key intersections, the centre serves as the “brain” for real-time monitoring of traffic conditions and urban order. HCM City tackles fishing violations at roots

As of December 9, all of the 4,475 fishing vessels in HCM City had registered and updated in the VNFishbase database, of them 4,268 licensed. The remainder, classified as ineligible, are strictly monitored and kept moored locally, with no permission to put to sea.

Dak Lak launches all-out, rapid “Quang Trung Campaign”

Vietnam, IAEA comprehensively assess national nuclear power infrastructure
