Foreign-invested enterprises in the southern province of Dong Naiare in need of about 25,000 workers in the second quarter of this year,according to the provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and SocialAffairs.
Of the total, the firms are mostly keen ontechnical workers, while requiring fewer than 200 university graduates,the department said.
It added that in the firstquarter, the enterprises had high demand for unskilled labourers. Amongthe nearly 450,000 working in almost 700 local enterprises, there arefewer than 30,000 university graduates, equivalent to 6.6 percent.
In Q1, more than 21,000 locals were employed, including 12,000 by foreign invested enterprises, the department added.
Le Van Hien, rector of LILAMA2 Vocational Collage under the Ministryof Construction, said more vocational skills are being added to theschool’s training programmes in an effort to meet the demand ofenterprises in the locality.-VNA
