Hanoi (VNA) –
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially launched inHanoi on June 20 its one-stop shop unit which is responsible for handling administrativeprocedures as an enthusiastic response to the Government’s administrativereform.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister PhamBinh Minh said the promulgation of Resolution 61/2018/ND-CP on April 23, 2018,on the implementation of the one-stop shop mechanism in addressingadministrative procedures at all levels from central to local is a breakthroughin the Government’s administrative reform.

The resolution aims to create an open and coherent mechanism in dealing withadministrative procedures based on the principle of taking businesses andpeople as the centre, he said.

After the launching ceremony, the FM directly experienced services at theone-stop shop unit which lies at the ministry’s Consular Department.

In2018, the foreign ministry received 197,550 dossiers and addressed 197,046ones, including 162,365 through the one-stop shop mechanism, according to theGovernment’s Office.-VNA

Tien Giang steps up efforts to eliminate substandard houses

According to the Tien Giang People’s Committee, 485 homes for policy beneficiaries, families of war martyrs, and low-income households will be supported. Of these, 284 new homes will be built, and 201 existing ones repaired, with a total budget of 24.1 billion VND (about 984,000 USD). As of March 6, construction had started on 166 houses, with 32 already completed.

Bac Giang to eliminate substandard houses by November

Local authorities have identified 795 homes of poor and near-poor households and individuals with recognised service to the nation that qualify for support. Of these, 475 require complete reconstruction and 320 need significant repairs, with estimated costs totaling 39 billion VND (1.53 million USD).
