China has the most visitors to Vietnam with 512,000. It was followed by the Republic of Korea with 289,000, the US, 267,000, and Japan 240,000.

According to specialists, this is the result of tourism policies and promotion campaigns by tourism businesses for the capital’s millennial anniversaries and other major celebrations.

In 2010, the tourism sector has set a target of welcoming about 4.2 million visitors to the country./.
