The campaign, anactivity marking the 60th Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27), willinclude surgeries for elderly patients with cataract and children withcleft palate and heart diseases.
On the first day of thecampaign, Duc Giang general hospital gave free medical checks up,treatment and medicine to 300 people at Thach Da commune, in Me LinhDistrict.
A similar humanitarian campaign co-organised bythe Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) and the Ministry of Health, which aims atbenefiting over one million poor people each year in Vietnam, has beenunderway since November.-VNA
