The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership is expected to positively impact the Vietnamese economy and at the same time pose challenges to it. The deal with intensive commercial commitments has long been awaited by its members, including Vietnam, whose legislature ratified it on November 2.

Overcoming the challenges, the CPTPP is believed to open up new chance for trade, investment, technology transfer and impact on the Vietnamese economy.

The National Assembly’s adoption of the CPTPP and other important economic decisions is expected to create a new economic environment for the country and businesses to develop.-VNA
