Elisabeth Crespon, Director of External Relations at France’s Polytechnic University, has said her university’s external policies will focus on developing cooperation with Asian countries, especially Vietnam, China and India.

The university set up its partner link with Vietnam in training several years ago, she told a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Paris, saying it signed cooperation agreements with the Hanoi Technology University and the Ho Chi Minh City National University (UNHCM-Ville).

In the cooperation framework of Paris Tech-UNHCM-Ville, lecturers from France’s Polytechnic University will provide training in Vietnam and Vietnam’s PhD students in maths and physics will study at the French school.

According to Crespon, a project to boost cooperation with Hanoi University of Sciences and Technology and several tertiary establishments in HCM City is under discussion.

Apart from cooperation in training high-quality engineers for Vietnam, the school will expand training programmes of Masters and PhDs and cooperate with Vietnam to provide required training, she said.

She valued Vietnamese students’ integration into the community in France, saying that they are dynamic and creative and obtain good results in study.

About 40 Vietnamese students and post graduates are studying at the Polytechnic University./.
