Hanoi (VNA) - The Golden Ball 2017 organisers, Sai Gon Giai Phong (Liberated Saigon) newspaper announced theshortlist for categories in the nomination on December 20.

The five nominations for the male Golden Ballcategory are Nguyen Anh Duc of Becamex Binh Duong, Nguyen Quang Hai of HanoiFC, Tran Phi Son of Song Lam Nghe An, Dinh Thanh Trung of QNK Quang Nam and LuongXuan Truong who plays as a central midfielder for Gangwon FC of the Republic ofKorea, on loan from V. League 1 club Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

The top five players for the female Golden Ballare Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung and Nguyen Thi Lieu of Phong Phu Hà Nam, Chuong ThiKieu, Huynh Nhu and Dang Thi Kieu Trinh of HCM City.

In the futsal category, Thai Son Nam has threerepresentatives including Pham Duc Hoa, Phung Trong Luan and Tran Van Vu. WhileThai Son Bac has one candidate, Nguyen Van Huy and one more is Khong Dinh Hungof Sanatech Khanh Hoa.

There are three nominees for the award of bestyoung male footballer including Nguyen Quang Hai and Doan Van Hau of Hanoi andPhan Thanh Hau of Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

While top three for the best female youngfootballer are Nguyen Thi Minh Anh of Ha Nam, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan of HCM Cityand Nguyen Thi Van of Vietnam Coal and Mineral.

The winners will be announced at an awardsceremony on January 2 in HCM City.-VNA
