Grounded vessel successfully rescued in Truong Sa waters

Khanh Hoa (VNA) – Fisheries Resources Surveillance Division No.4 under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said on January 10 that a fisheries resources surveillance ship had successfullyrescued a fishing boat, which ran aground in the Truong Sa (Spratly) waters.
The boat, coded QNg 95032TS, from the central province ofQuang Ngai, encountered the incident when fishing in the waters on January 9.
The rescue work lasted until 3:30pm on January 10, with thesafety of the entire crew ensured. The boat is now under repair and the eightpeople on board have been equipped with necessities./.
All of the six fishermen on board vessel BD 99999 TS that sunk off Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago in the early morning of July 30 were rescued later on the same day by another fishing boat, the fisheries bureau of the central province of Binh Dinh said.
The Vietnamese vessel Vietsun Integrity, carrying 17 crew members and 285 containers, capsized and sank on Long Tau river, outlying district of Can Gio in Ho Chi Minh City on October 19.
